Aargh...Fireworks season

Why do people think its ok to shoot off fireworks past 10 (or at all!) in a suburban neighborhood. Especially, since those types of fireworks are illegal in my state!

I guess there is no point to this post; I'm just really annoyed. I know this will continue through at least another few weeks too!

My two boys are getting a surprise May 2015!

  • I agree! I hate fireworks in residential areas! Hopefully Caleb will sleep soundly and the fireworks won't bother him!

Lololol I know what you mean. We were hearing fireworks last year until November.... Seriously, wtf? I live in Cleveland, it's not warm in November.
  • We have a huge wildfire going on just west of us. They've banned all fireworks except some of the ones the cities do over the 4th. At New Years some little bastards set fireworks off in the open space just beyond our backyard at midnight. They were lame rockets so they weren't worth the noise. They were lucky they didn't wake my kids or I'd have shot them.
    This is my AE.

I have been sick and tried of fireworks for like 2 weeks now and its non stop all day every day. They start at like 8am and are still going now at almost midnight.I hate it and just cannot wait for the 4th of July to be over this year.

But I am also feel as if I am a bit of a hypocrite about this. I love fireworks and really enjoy shooting them.  One year I socked up in July to ensure I could have a firework bonanza for my birthday (in December) Sure it was So Cal so to a lot of you that is no where near "cold" ever and we had a blast. But we also lived on a block chock full of crazy pyros. 4th of July on that block is really like a war zone. Everyone would "personally import" fireworks from Mexico or the Indian reservations in Arizona so it was not the legal stuff you could buy down the street at the stands. But except for that one time we always respectful and only shot fireworks at appropriate times. Ahh the good old day.

  • Hate it. Has been going on here at least a month now. Last weekend it was too close and given the daily shootings in and around the city i had to pause and make sure that it wasn't a gunshot. I mean froze for a a good five minutes in the kitchen.

Lol... A few years ago, my sister and her now ex husband and i were in the living room, watching tv at like midnight, we were watching ghost hunters or some paranormal activity show, and we SWORE we heard a gun shot last next door and all hit the floor, crawled into the kitchen and called the cops. We found out the next morning that the stupid teenage boy blew a glass bottle up in his driveway. I've never felt so foolish lol

  • We have this super awesome neighbor that sets off fireworks for EVERY occasion....July 4, Christmas, Passover, birthdays, weddings, Saturday nights, you name it. Luckily my DD sleeps through it even though her room is closest to the action. We use a fan and a sound machine...that seems to block out most of the noise.
