Hopsital Recommendations

I am looking for an OBGYN in the Boston area affiliated with BIDMC or NWH and was curious to see if anyone had positive/negative feedback about Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston and Newton-Wellesley?  Thanks!

    I had both of my boys (now 2 and 4) at Newton-Wellesley which is affiliated with Brigham and Women's.  Many of my friends had their babies at Brigham and Women's or NWH.  NWH nurses were awesome during both births, and the rooms are very nice/private -- a very warm environment.  I've heard great things about Brigham and Women's as well.  Good luck!

    I delivered at Brigham and Women's. I had a fairly positive experience for the most part with the doctors, nurses, and NICU team. The only thing I was upset about is that I asked to speak to a lactation consultant and was told I was doing fine breastfeeding. The lactation consultant is only available for those struggling. Being a brand new mom I figured I was doing things right then. Needless to say I was not doing it correctly and DS's latch was not right. I ended up with a very negative experience breastfeeding. I think this may have been different if I could have had a few minutes with a lactation consultant while I was there.

    I am currently pregnant and ended up choosing BIDMC after a co-worker had great things to say about delivery there. I also chose as one of the locations of a pre-natal OB office located very close to where I live. I'm not sure where you live but if you are interested in BIDMC they have an OB/GYN care office in Needham where the doctors and nurses are very nice my Dr is very nice and I feel very comfortable with her, and delivery would be at BI in Boston.     I switched OB/GYNs when I moved to Boston and mine is affiliated with Beth Israel. I am a FTM and I don't have any prior experience with the hospital itself, but I've heard great things, and my doctor is great. Hope that helps!

    Im a FTM and I currently go to BIDMC for my OBGYN and that is where I will be giving birth. Had someone at work suggest it! I love it there, all the nurses are really nice and I love my doctor!
