I hate me elfin job.

I just got the phone call that for the fourth time this week I have been mandated to work a double. I am so tired I could cry. I hate that we have no staff and those that we do are out on comp or calling in. I am sick of not seeing my kid and when I do I am so tired I want to gouge my eyes out. I am getting tempted to look for a new one but don't think I could find comparable benefits and I am a year away from being vested in my pension. Sorry it was either vent here or burst into tears. Now I feel like kicking something.

    I know how sh?tty being mandated for doubles are, especially while pregnant.I can't imagine 4 in a week. I'd probably end up violent as well.

    Thanks guys.  I convinced a coworker to come in at 1 so at least it is only 14 hours instead of 16.  That is a positive. Right? I alos just got a giggle when I went back to check this and saw that auto correct had changed effin to elfin.  Maybe I should screw being a nurse and go work for Keebler.

    i'm sorry! this happens to my DH all the time (corrections). if everyone did their part everyone would get out! i was furious when he got mandated to stay on mother's day because a rookie with 3 weeks on the job called out!!!

    hope your time goes fast!
