A was sent home without me 1 year ago tomorrow

A year ago today, I was moved from CCU to a step down unit.   I wound up staying in the hospital for another 9 days.   Tomorrow marks one year that Alex was sent home....without me  Crying  I still can't believe that I spent most of the 1st month of his life in the hospital and was so weak for the rest of the summer that my aunt and my MIL had to take turns staying with me while DH was at work.

    I know what you mean. I had a pretty traumatic postpartum time as well (nerve damage, couldn't walk for 8 weeks) and had to have people stay with me during the day last summer as well. The week of her birthday I couldn't stop reliving the experience. It sucks... But I am thankful to have made a full recovery and have a healthy kid.

    Glad you are healthy nowl! I can't imagine staying in the hospital without LO! Hope you can reflect on that eith peace. BTW, love the cake in your siggy!
