If you love your crock pot like me...

This is a really good recipe from the crockin' girls website. I made it last week and making it again tonight (bc I bought all the ingredients listed before I decided to half the recipe last week). I usually do chicken, beef, pork, etc. in the crock pot and always stayed away from pasta recipes I guess bc I was old fashioned and thought those should be cooked on the stove or in the oven. This tastes better than any lasagna I've made in the oven! DH loved it. I used sweet Italian sausage instead of beef (we just like the flavor better in the sauce). Can't make clicky from phone, but if anyone is interested here's the link:

  • What size crock pot do you have?

I've tried a few different lasagna recipes in the crock pot and never come out right. We have the big oval one---I'm starting to wonder if I need a smaller round one to keep it formed and moist.

I have the big oval one too. A 6 qt. I believe. I didn't have any trouble with it staying moist. Formed...well it doesn't come out a perfect lasagna slice like you see on the cover of the noodle package :) But it didn't completely fall apart either. Either way still delicious.  I did have to break some of the lasagna noodles in half too get them to fit and I tried to not over lap them. It didn't take 3 hrs like the recipe says... 2 1/2 tops and it was perfect! I hope it works for you!

Thank you for the website!!! It is mostly cool and rainy here, so these types of recipes are great :) I finally have our electric converters so I can break out the crock pot.
