I think I am going to switch my vitamins since it doesn't have any iron or dha. What vitamins are you all taking? Do they have an weird side effects? Do you like them? I was thinking about taking Citranatal Harmony, but many have said it made their hearts race. Has anyone taken this prenatal?

I'm on citranatal harmony and have been for about a month. I have had not problems with them at all. The plus of this vitamin is that it has colace in it and helps combat the constipation. I will admit the colace made me have diarrhea and bad gas for about a week but it seems to have leveled out now. I also take a daily flinstone on top of this per my dr's recommendations because my iron stores are low and we are trying to prevent anemia before I need a full on iron supplement.
Plus I got the sample from my dr that had a coupon for $10 off each script in the box.
I like it and haven't had any side effects (nausea) from it.

This for me too. As long as I take it at night it doesn't bother me at all. Which I can't even say for my dinner
Flintstones, huh? Gonna have to look into that.
I currently take Bellybar Prenatal chewables. Tastes like a fruity antacid.

I take these too and I love them! I've been taking them for about two years and I've never had a problem as long as I take them with food. My doctor also told me they are one of the best PNVs out there so I figured I'd stick with them. I get mine at Costco and they're in the coupon every other month or so, I usually buy two when I see them in the add.
I take nature's bounty "your life prenatals." They are fine- Ive been on them since going off the pill 2 years ago. When I am too sick, I take 2 childrens chewable multivitamins, my doc suggested them as a fine alternative.
This. I like them and they taste pretty good.
I was taking the Vitafusion prenatal gummies and I recently change to flintstones complete vitamins.
I saw people worrying about this too, as I was eating a bag of M&Ms. I curiously looked at the M&Ms and they also have red dye #40. I'm def not going to stop eating these so I don't think I am going to worry anymore.

Good point. I definitely ate my weight in Swedish Fish last week
I tried the CVS brand and they taste gross. They have an almost sweet taste to them that made me want to gag every time I took one.
YES! Someone a while ago brought up that red dye #40 has been linked to autism. This why I switched. I now take Rainbow Light prenatal which is food based and NO artificial colors. I also take Expecta DHA.
(Plus, those Nature Made with DHA are freaking HUGE and smell like fish!)
I take Brainstrong, which has iron and dha. I've been buying mine at Walmart for less than $20 and it lasts for 30 days. It doesn't make me feel nauseous either.

In the morning I take B6 and an iron supplement (Rite Aid brand).
At night I take the Vitafusion prenatal gummies with DHA.
I don't like swallowing large pills to begin with, let alone when I'm feeling nauseous. I have a sample prescription from my doctor that I might switch to after the nausea subsides and my gag reflex calms down.

Same here. My doctor had prescribed a prenatal which cost $50 a month, I just stocked up on four months' worth of CVS brand prenatals for not quite half of that. My prescription did contain a stool softener but I have IBS so constipation has not been a problem for me. (Yet. Knock on wood.) They are a little tough for me to get down but don't generally cause nausea, although I've been fortunate enough that my morning sickness has not been rough to begin with.
Interestingly, I just looked at the label on my vitamins and they contain a lot of B6. Isn't that supposed to help with morning sickness? Maybe that's why I've managed to escape nausea for the most part.

Ditto! My Rx pre-natal made me feel so nauseous and awful so my OB suggested two of these and I love them. I also take a DHA supplement.
My only problem is that I really only take them when I'm really sick. However, I went out of town for five days and decided to only take the flintstones, for simplicity and since the bottle is smaller. But, they made me want to throw up everytime I took one. I guess its just conditioning from always being sick when I take them?

I use the GNC brand. They are fairly cheap, and you can get them with or without iron. They also had the highest level of folic that I could find on the shelves (1000 mcg - most Rx ones are this high, but not many over the counter ones are)
I take a separate DHA pill.
This is what I was taking until 2 weeks ago, but the bit of nausea that I sometimes got with them got to be too much when the morning sickness really started to kick in. I have switched to Vitafusion PreNatal gummy vitamins. They don't have iron in them though, but they do have dha.

After some research I decided on New Chapter Organics Perfect Prenatal. It has lots of good stuff in it and is whole food based.
The one caveat is I've been too sick to take it lately, so I have been taking Vitafusion gummies. I don't think they're even near the quality of the Perfect Prenatal, but I figure it's better than nothing right now since I can't deal with swallowing pills.
