Not jumping in jumparoo

Anyone else's LO not jump in the jumparoo? He stands and kicks his foot out. He also sucks on the seat LOL.

Re: Not jumping in jumparoo

  • We have a doorway jumper and she twirls around, jumps, and sucks on the seat.

  • DD can't reach the floor, so we have a box that she jumps/shuffles on. But I noticed her feet were sliding around on the box.  So, I put a picture book on top of the box. When she's not wearing socks, it's easier for her to jump because her feet kind of stick to the book for a fraction of a second, and she's able to jump much easier.

  • DS never did , he had the Rain Forrest Jumper Roo. DD LOVES hers She jumps all over, spins, walks side to side. She has the Fisher Price Bumper Jumper & she sucks on the seat/tray when she gets sleepy. :)

  • Charlie doesn't jump yet! We aren't an athletic family, so I think he got my genes ;-).  His feet barely reach the floor and he just plays with the toys and drools all over. He will get the hang of it soon (I hope! The thing was 90 bucks lol)

it took DD a little while to get a hang of the jumping, and now even she only does it a little bit when she's in it. She mostly spins around, kicks her legs, and yes, sucks on the seat. But she seems to be jumping more and more each time, so stick with it!

  • Emily just started actually jumping this week. I tied some balloons to her jumper, she would jump to watch the balloons bounce...then she got the hang of it.

I had to put a pillow under it so she could reach, she plays with the toys and chews on the seat too, she cant spin around in it yet.

  • DD has only been in hers 3 times but she doesn't jump.  She much prefers the exersaucer right now because it has more/better toys.  They are still on the young side for using the jumperoo, so I wouldn't worry at all about it!

DD2 jumps like it's her job.  Sometimes she'll be laughing, sometimes she'll have this super serious look on her face while jumping.  DD1 just sits there and looks around, grabs at the toys occasionally, and sucks on the seat.  And my girls are about a month older then yours and DD1 is still lazy about it, so I wouldn't worry.  We do push on it and bounce DD1 when she's in it to try to show her what she can do in it, but she's lazy.

  • My DS hasn't really figured out the jumping part either.  He tries by wiggling, but doesn't get much "air" yet.  We jump for him by grabbing his legs and bouncing him up and down.  Hopefully he'll get it soon.  He's really good at spinning all the toys though!
