Name for future DD#2 - too close to DD#1?

Hi All!

I'm not pregnant (yet), but I love to think about names for our future kids.  Right now, our favorite name for another little girl is Charlotte Eleonore (spelling of Eleonore is German and would be after my grandmother).  Our DD's name is Claire Elizabeth.  

Are Charlotte Eleonore and Claire Elizabeth too similar?  Is it weird that they would have the same initials?

    I think they are fine together as the starting syllables are different "CH" vs. "CL" so I think it works.  Having the same initials isn't anything too weird IMO.

    I think it's ok for them to have the same initials. The names aren't similar at all, except for that one thing. Would you feel the need to give a 3rd child the same initials, though? At that point, it might get a little weird lol.

    I think it would be fine. Claire and Charlotte do not sound close at all - I think they work great together. 

    I wouldn't personally use the same initials again, but it wouldn't bother me on someone else's kids.

    Other than the C they are not at all similar. I think they are a nice pairing.

    Not too similar, and the initials are no big deal. They go well together.

    Thanks so much for all of the help/advice!  I appreciate it.  For the PP that asked about using the same initials for #3 - we will definitely not be doing that!  It's totally random that the two sets of names we love both have the same initials...at least I'll be able to re-use all of the stuff that has DD#1's monogram on it!

    This exactly. When I was a kid my mom would label our stuff using initials so we wouldn't fight over it. That is one of the reasons I wouldn't do same initials.

    I generally don't like siblings to share the first letter, but since they sound different I think they go really great together. I really like both of them. And I actually think the shared initials is cute.

    ETA: you could always spell things weird, like start Claire with a K if you really don't like the same initials thing....
