Decorating a room 4 ds with asd, ideas, esp sensory spots etc

We are redoing our almost 4 year old's room. He is on the spectrum and enjoys swinging, squishy pillows, sensory table activities, ripping, etc. I'm wondering if anyone has great ideas for a room that will help him feel good. I am definitely thinking of a nice comfy spot to sit down and relax, breathe deeply- maybe a bean bag or big pillows on the ground. Then I start to imagine him ripping the bean bag apart with his teeth or something. :(. Oh well maybe a basket of chewie stix next to the bean bag. Any ideas?

    Hi there,

I have 4 yr old twin boys also on the spectrum. One has more issues w SPD then my other kid. Here are some of the big items we have for him.

We have this swing in his playroom:

We got a bean bag from target and we keep it in his room. They also loves my old body pillow I used when I was pregnant with them.

We also have a trampoline in the playroom.

Most of the sensory table activities we do outside (because they make a mess!). We play with moon sand, beans and rice. During bath I let them play with paint in the tub and them they get a bath. Similar to this:

    GL!

ETA:  actually, use crayola finger paint in the tub
