Aspirin to lower the risk of preeclampsia?

Has anyones Dr. told them to take a baby aspirin everyday to lower the risk of preeclampsia?  Not sure if I feel comfortable with this suggestion by both my genetic dr. and obsetrician.

Re: Aspirin to lower the risk of preeclampsia?

  • I take a low dose aspirin everyday.  Not for pre-e but for a clotting disorder.  Only you and your doctor can decide if the benefits out-weigh any potential risks.

Same here.  I've been on it since before I got pregnant.  If your doctor thinks you should be on it, a low dose aspirin will be fine.

I've never heard that aspirin reduces BP.

This for me too plus I take a shot of Levonox( blood thinner) every night for my clotting disorder.
