s/o bras (people 2+ kids who nursed)

If you're on your 3+ pregnancy (so that you could have had experience with this) AND you were bfing at the time of pregnancy, did your boobs grow anyway during the pregnancy?  I figure they can't get much bigger!  I'm already nursing and they are at their "full of milk" size, so they shouldn't grow anymore right?   I need a new bra, but I don't want to get one that fits now, only to outgrow it in a few weeks.  I'm already a 42G!!  If anything, I'm hoping they actually get smaller as LO weans (which he seems to be doing.)

  • I am not sure...I weaned DD a few weeks ago and my boobs went back to their normal size. I'm now pregnant with #4 and they haven't grown at all so I'm no help. I just wanted to say, holy monkeys - those are some amazeballz boobs!

  • I am on my second pregnancy, but I was nursing when I became pregnant and can say that, in my case, my breasts have shrunk considerably since I have stopped nursing.  (To give you some perspective: I was a 42DDD when I became pregnant the first time, went to a 44G when nursing, and am now at 42DD.)

Personally, I think you should be fine to purchase a bra at this size or, if you are planning on weaning in the near future, maybe hold off and see if you go down a size or two also.

  • You've both given me hope! Big Smile

And gigantic breasts aren't all they're cracked up to be.  Sounds like fun in theory, sucks in real life. :)

  • I am nursing right now and as of now mine haven't grown per se but they have gotten firmer and have filled out more. They don't have that empty balloon look anymore. As for bra size, I fit the same just less saggy.

  • Mine are size A. Barely. I am just fascinated by women who actually need bras!
