Sizing of Shorts

Is it just me or do shorts run ridiculously large? I'm buying Old Navy shorts in 3-6mo size and Oshkosh in 6mo. We're a 12mo in everything else.

    No it is not just you!  Ben is in 18m tops but his shorts are 12m or 9m.  It is so annoying when you buy an outfit and the shorts don't fit!

    I think they just have weird cuts b/c LO is wearing every size of shorts right now form newborn to 18 months.

    They're all over the place.  DS1 is wearing shorts he wore last year, when he's grown a size or two in shirts since then.  It's great later on to get two seasons out of them, but it is bizarre.  He's in 3T clothes and is wearing 18mon shorts today that are still falling down on him.

    Nope. I just pulled a pair of 3 to 6 month stretchy shorts out of his dresser that I put away thinking I'd pull them out sooner, but I put them on him yesterday and they fit.

    I don't think so but it could be the CD filling them out ;) F is really tiny too.

    My LO has enormous thighs so we're in 18 months for pants and shorts.

    Yea, DD can wear a pair of 3-6mo even with her bulkiest CD's. But then the 12mo pair she had on today were kind of tight.

    Hmm, I actually find shorts run really small on DD.  In Circo (Target), I had to get her 24M to fit! (She wears 12-18M normally).  She's got quite a buddha belly though.  The 12M size look like she's wearing short shorts.  Maybe the cuts are different for girls?
