Crossfit mama's???

Any of you do Crossfit!!??? I've been doing it on & off for 4 years now. I've been back at it for awhile now. Do you know of any modifications this early I should be aware of? I'm keeping hydrated & taking it slow so I don't over-heat but I also want to push myself a teeny bit {I am keeping the weight low on lifts, etc.} TIA!

  • I've been doing Crossfit on and off about the same amount of time as you.  I've been going to Crossfitmom.com, but I think you are on the right track not over doing it and staying well hydrated.

    This is what I was thinking. Also be careful with anything that works your core a lot - you don't want to overdo it with your abs.

  • You can also check out onefitmom.ca. She is a crossfitting, Paleo eating new mom that trained through most of her pregnancy.

    Sigh. Miss my Crossfit gym. We moved a year ago and there is no Crossfit box anywhere near us. 

  • The biggest things the owner of my box told me to worry about - and we have had quite a few pregnant women at the box - is to watch body temp and heart rate.  I always make sure I am in front of a fan, and I take the cardio geared workouts really slowly.  He also said that now is not the time to be working one one rep max.  I usually lift about 75% of capacity Nd if a workout looks like it may be too intense, I either scale way down or skip all together depending in the energy level for that day.  I dont want to get lazy by any means, but not worth the risk this early!
