When DH works nights...

I can't sleep :(  We just returned home last night from a week long family "vacation" to Nebraska (from TX) and I have been exhausted all week. Now that we are home I need to soak up all the rest I can but hubby works nights through Sunday... grrrr for his awful work schedule.

    My hubster works retail and on fridays is the truck day, so he leaves at 4:45 am to be there to unload the truck (only day of the week that he gets up that early). The moment he gets up to get ready I'm awake and can't fall back asleep till hours later cause it's weird without him. Hope you are able to get some sleep especially after your trip GL

    I know the feeling. MH works 6-6, sometimes days, sometimes nights, and the nights are terrible. I have fallen asleep on the couch at 3am more times than I care to remember. GL

    mine works 5-5 4 days on 3 off 4 nights on  booooo its so lame!

    Rotating shifts suck. Mine does 2 days on, 2 off, 2 nights on, 2 off, 3 days on etc...

    It's nice when he has 4 or 5 days off but otherwise I hate it. plus he has an hour commute.

    I totally feel your pain.

    I feel your pain. My DH's regular schedule is M-F 10pm - 7am so we only get an hour or so together at night before he leaves. Should be interesting when baby comes & how that's all going to work out.

    My DH works nights too. It is tough being a working mom, and doing the whole morning routine and bedtime routine by myself. I won't lie, we had a really rough time for the first 10 months of my daughter's life and I fear for a repeat With this one if his schedule doesn't change. Even on his days off, he is on a totally different schedule than DD and I. he says he will switch to evenings as soon as possible, so I would still be doing it all on my own when he works, but he would be able to function with us on his days off. I pray his schedule changes soon!!!!

    Dh works until 12:30 am only one night a week. It totally throws off my schedule and I can't sleep. It's better than when he used to work nights. I never slept :/

    Natural mc @ 8 wks in Nov. '07, dd born 4/23/11, natural mc @ 6 wks in April '12, bfp 6/11/12...praying for a sticky baby!
