How fast do their feet grow?

Audrey's a 4.5 right now.  Seeing as how this she is in her first pair of "real" shoes, I haven't really kept track.  I also can't find the stat I found once before about the rate at which they grow (I want to say like 1/4" a month?  or is it every 3 months??).

Anyone know?

    I went to Stride Rite a couple of weeks ago to get DD's feet measured for the first time and the sales person said to expect her to need a new size every 3 months. I have no idea if that's true and for how long they grow at that rate, though!

    I agree with this.  Lamar was a 3 in March (when I got  his first pair of real shoes) and now he is a 4.  So yeah just about 3 months.

    Oh wow.  A full size every three months!  That's crazy.  I was thinking (okay hoping, lol) it would be more like a half a size or something.  I really had no idea!

    I was told this , also. His feet seem to have flattened out more as he runs vs stumbles along.

    Stride Rite told me 1/2 size every 2 months and suggested getting 1/2 size larger than she measures now so the shoes can last 4 months.  DD still isn't really wearing shoes so no experience to back this up.

    F has mini feet. She is in a some 2's still and can fill out a few 3's while some are still big on her...

    shes has been in 2's for months and I don't think we will need all 3's for at least another month.
