    Make it to 2nd tri.

In all seriousness, call your doctor. They can prescribe something for nausea. Sometimes sucking a jolly rancher helps me. Also, try to eat snacks (crackers, etc.) frequently.

  • I have had two days of nausea and I find eating something is the only thing that helps me.  Crackers are a good choice.

Where do you get your jolly ranchers? All I can seem to find are the nasty chewy ones.....

The aren't hard to find around here at all. Walgreens, Walmart, HEB (our large chain grocery stores), and even gas stations.

  • With my DD I sucked on candy all the time, Jolly Ranchers and Lifesavers mostly. Good luck finding something that helps.

  • Making sure my stomach is full helps, but not always.

  • I kept crackers (saltines I think) with me at all times.  Before I got up in the morning I would eat a few so I didn't get nauseous while showering.  I always had a bag in my purse so I could munch on a few if I needed.  Also, Gingerale really helped me too (although don't drink too much-lots of sugar).  If its really terrible bring it up to your doctor, usually they can prescribe something.

  • crystallized ginger, ginger gum, Vitamin B, crackers, and flat gingerale

  • Zofran. Or if you're not ready for a script from your dr, try Unisom and B6 over the counter. For me, m/s has been really bad and natural remedies really don't help other than providing sort of a "comfort" factor. If your m/s is so bad that your missing work (like mine is), you should really try Zofran.
  • I found sea bands and raw almonds to be helpful.

  • Ginger ale helped some, Zofran and at night Phenegran. I carried around snacks and just ate small things every two hours. If my stomach stayed semi full, I didn't feel sick as much. I also tried Sea Bands.... I don't know that they really worked but I was desperate.  But I think the most important is to eat often!! Once I forgot to eat and got sick, I was puking the rest of the day no matter what. Good luck!

  • I use lemon drop candies a lot. Lemon helps with sea sickness so I decided to try it and it works pretty well for me. Also have snacks on hand. Eating seems like the last thing you'd want to do when you feel sick. But you could be feeling sick because your stomach is too empty. My doctor recommended eating every two to three hours. He said not to let my stomach get too empty or too full. Hope this helps. I hear second tri is much better! :)

I was suffering pretty badly until I found Unisom + B6.  Checked with my doctor; she okayed it.  I take 1/2 a pill of the tabs (not gelcaps) in the morning and evening of the Unisom, and 50mg of B6 morning and evening.  Dosages vary, but this mimics the anti-nausea med Bendectin that was sold from the 1950s to the 1980s to pregnant women.  It was withdrawn from the market (but FDA approval never pulled)--the company who made it kept getting sued for birth defects, but none were ever proven.  Its actually probably the most researched anti-nausea med for pregnant women, because of all the lawsuits; and no causal or even correlative relationship to birth defects was ever found.

If you want to take it, do your research first so you are comfortable with it; and run it by your doctor. But its been a miracle drug for me; done away with most of my nausea and I'm not vomiting anymore at all.
