Re: measuring behind
my first measured small for a few weeks so i had a US which resulted he was in 50th percentile. ha --
this one measure ahead for a few, & my growth US read 47th !
i think they lay differently in you,,, hope all is well. gl !
When I was 36 weeks pg with ds I was measuring 4 weeks behind. I went for an u/s and he was measuring in the 1st percentile.
Anyway, I went for weekly u/s and 2x/week NST until I went into labor @ 39w5d. He was born at 6lbs 14oz and was absolutely perfect....and still is totday (4.5 years later)
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
Are you tall? How has your weight gain been? I'm measuring small too (just went to dr. this week and was measuring 28w and I was 33.3w. I'm having an u/s at 36 weeks. However, I'm 5'8, weigh 150 right now and have measured small with all my kids. My daughter was born early, but both my boys weighed right at 7lbs and I don't think I ever measured over 36 weeks.
Good luck and hopefully it's just the fact that external measuring isn't always very accurate!
(lurking... I never post, but can identify so I thought I'd respond!)
I'm actually on the shorter side (almost 5'3")... measured large with DS1 (who was born at 38w2d at 6lbs 8oz), on target with DS2 (39w1d, 7lbs 1oz) and 5 weeks behind with DD1. MW sent me for NSTs for her and ultrasounds twice a week for the last three weeks and the Dr. at the hospital who read the ultrasound results classified her as IUGR. She was born on her due date weighing a healthy 6lbs 9oz - totally fine and not growth restricted!
With this baby (#4) I am measuring basically on track, 1 week behind. I truly think things can vary greatly based on the baby's position and how you are carrying. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
My fundal height is measuring three weeks behind but my baby is measuring two weeks ahead according to the U/S estimates of the femoral length, head circumference, and the abdomen.
I find the whole thing weird.
