Middle name

I think we've settled on Grace as a first name for our daughter. We strongly believe in using the middle name as an opportunity to honor a loved one so use family names. Our son's middle name is not one I'm overly fond of but it is the same middle name as his Dad and Grandpa so I love it for that.

 

Anyway, we have 2 possible middle names for our daughter.

Grace Dorothy: Dorothy was my grandmother's name and is my sister's middle name (they are the 2 greatest women I've ever known!)

Grace Christine: Christine is my sister's name

We think Christine sounds prettier but Dorothy has more meaning. What do you think?

    I actually like Dorothy better. Christine sounds 80's to me. Dorothy sounds like the Wizard of Oz -- love!

    My vote is for Grace Dorothy. I think they both sound nice, but I feel like Dorothy is a stronger mn for a "soft" name like Grace. If that makes sense.....

    Grace Dorothy sounds better than Grace Christine (too many "s" sounds).
