I was just talking about this with a friend.
- s/he will be in school during their birthday so they'll often spend the day with their friends.
- the holidays take up a good chunk of time, then all of a sudden it's only 4+ weeks until baby time.
why do you think feb is a good month?
Re: Why February is a good month!

I love that we are having a baby in Feburary because I've always found it a depressing month. It's cold, the holidays are over, there is nothing fun going on and you are sick of winter. Now we'll always have a birthday to plan and celebrate!
This!
And, I am happy that I won't be huge and pregnant when it's 100+ degrees outside. At least when it's cold and snowy, I'll be an overheated pregnant lady.

Baby Boy #2 EDD 6.22.2015
My second was born in Feb. It's a PERFECT month to have a baby:

Everybody is gaining holiday weight -- so it's not just you
It's cold outside in your third trimester which is great if pregnancy makes you feel hot.
you don't have to lift a finger or go anywhere for the holidays because you're totally visibly pregnant.
Everything goes on sale in January/Feb. you can get your last minute baby stuff at a discount (not to mention birthday gifts)
February can be kinda yucky weather-wise so you can kinda lay-in for a bit and then when you're ready to go out the weather is turning and it's spring!
All of this! It is also a good time of year academically for kids---not the oldest, not the youngest. And, as a teacher, it means I can take ML for the rest of the school year.
Yes, this! I was in my third tri during the summer with DS; looking forward to being bigger in the cooler months! Also glad that we'll be past the nastiness of flu season before #2 has to go to daycare.

the thought of being big pregnant in Miami anytime other than the winter is like hell on earth
our baby is due a few days before our 4th wedding anniversary! fun!
This, but I live in Houston and it's our 1st wedding anniversary
awesome reasons!
particularly the bolded.

You are supposed to reply "girl you know it's true" bwahah. Love it!
Totally agree!! It's so hot here right now so I am happy it will be cooler during the 3rd tri.
I'm a teacher, and Feb. means I *might* not go back the rest of the school year.
(We get out early May next year.) Even if I do go back, it's for the "fun part" after all the testing is already done.

The bank thermometer read 106 degrees today in McKinney. Texas weather is rough...either you're nauseous during the heat or you're at the end of your journey and huge preggo. Can't get away from it!

I like that once summer rolls around the LOs will be much more able to regulate their own body temperature so I can go outside without having to freak out about him/her overheating. (Granted, we live in Wisconsin so our summers aren't quite like those in the South or TX.)
We also hit high birthday season in our families come March for the whole summer and then again from October to November, but LO will get the whole month of February to him/herself.
With my last pregnancy, we could not travel for Thanksgiving or Christmas because my EDD was 12/18, so we ended up staying home. This was okay since we were so eager for our first to arrive, but I think it would be a bummer to do again especially since we don't live near any family and DD is turning 2 this year so she'll probably just begin getting into the fun of it.
Much of what PP have said... avoiding crazy TX heat while hugely preggo, having bdays during school year, showing off my bump at the holidays to extended family, nice cool weather for baby's first few weeks...
Also, a personal favorite for the pregnancy itself: getting to paint my belly like a giant pumpkin this Halloween! I'll only be a week shy of 7mo, so I should have an obvious, firm bump :-)
