Is pouch the same thing as 'shelf'? So far this has been the only upsetting thing about my CS. I always had a really flat stomach and it's weird to look at these bulges there. I have a good 40 lbs to lose to be where I need tillite at least 30 to my pre-pregnancy weight. Will that help?
its mostly swelling at first but also remember your tummy was all streched out. I say you really need to give it a full 9-12 months to get everything back in order.

Hate to say it. I am 2 1/2 years post c/s and mine still isnt completely gone. I work out a ton and focus a lot on abs, and it is flatter than before, but not like before. In my case it is some scar tissue and some fat.
If you figure out how to get it to go away, please let me know
I've had two c-sections, this will be my third. Before I got pregnant this time around I still had the pooch and my youngest son just turned three. It wont ever fully recover to how your body was before the c-section. Thats the worst thing you deal with after a c-section imho.

Agreed. My son just turned 5 and (besides being pregnant now) mine was still there after losing weight and exercise. I was even lower than my pre-pregnancy size and it was still there. My solution is just to get my tubes tied at this c/s and then get a tummy tuck. It's always been the part of my body that I've been really self conscious about after having my son. Some women's bodies bounce back and some just don't no matter what you do.
Mine has been there for over 2 years. I was in the fitness industry and had a very flat stomach before pregnancy. It has never looked the same. I am pg again and already know for medical purposes I will have to have a scheduled c/s again. I don't expect it it to go away, I just hope it doesn't get bigger after the second one.
