What do you do with the parts that don't dry fully? I used to rinse them with water then out them on a drying rack overnight but now I rinse and put them together still wet, is that okay?i don't see why not since it's just water and going in the fridge
Re: If you wash your bottles in the dishwasher
Depends on if your dishwasher leaves residue on dishes like mine does. Mine leaves a soapy residue on dishes sometimes, so I just hand wash them and put them on the rack upside down to air dry. If I need to make a bottle and the bottle is still wet, no big deal- it's just water.
If I have myself in order (which I usually don't) then I'll try to run the dishwasher before bed and unload the things to let them sit out overnight. I have found that if I don't give all the pieces (we use Dr. Brown's) a very good shake, some of them are still wet in the morning. We put the bottle on a bottle drying rack and the other parts on a drying mat. Then there are mornings like this morning when I pulled the bottles directly out of the dishwasher and made them for daycare. So everything was pretty wet. Basically it goes from dishwasher, to being filled, to being refrigerated.
The wetness was more of an issue when we were still using pumped BM. Now that DS is on formula only, I don't really worry about the wetness because I'm just turning around and filling the bottle with water anyway. I have also found that if I don't have JetDry or some other rinse agent in the dishwasher that there is a gross film. The JetDry seems to clear that up though!
I make all my bottles for the day in the morning, so they don't all get used right away but they all go straight to the fridge, I never put anything wet in my cabinet or anything else
