small tear in the placenta

in 1st Trimester
I went to the doctor today for spotting and had an ultrasound..everything looks good but they said I have a small tear in the placenta..she told me to take it easy and drink a ton of water..does anyone have experience in this? I just wondered how long they take to heal..I still am working she just said not to do anything strenuous!

    Thank you..the bleeding has stopped pretty much..I have had maybe 2 dots of blood on the toilet paper all day so I am thinking this is a good sign..I am going to take it easy from now on..even at work..taking multiple breaks and sitting down with the kids.

    I had this with DD, and was told a couple of days. Everything turned out fine :)

    i have one of them now. they didn't tell me how long it would last...but i've had brown spotting on and off for a week now. i'm with you - i can't wait until it's gone!
