Harder to burp LO

LO is 2 weeks old & it's getting harder to burp her. DH says it's because her stomach has gotten stronger. Is this right? There seems to be at least a feeding or two each day where I'll have trouble burping her & she'll end up spitting up. But DH always manages to get her to burp. Any tips?

    How are you holding her when you burp her? I have noticed I get her to burp in certain burping positions vs others. Sitting her on my lap works best...I sit my LO on my lap with the palm of my hand against her stomach and her chin resting on my hand. I used my other had to pat her on the back.

    I sometimes have a hard time burping DD too. Are you breastfeeding? My pedi said that breastfed babies burp alot less since they're taking in less air. I've also tried different positions but it didn't help us much.
