My son is still sleeping most of the time. My daughter was definitely more alert by this age. She is definitely very high energy and all over the place (has been from the very beginning). My son seems to have a more laid back personality. Maybe that's why he sleeps so much? What are your LOs doing?

My 5 week old has the same pattern everyday. He eats, stays awake for 45 mins, then falls asleep between 1-2 hrs..then repeats ha..so he is asleep majority of the time.. he is such a chill baby, never crys when he is awake and you can put him down anywhere and he just hangs out
This sounds like my son, too. I'm just not used to it b/c DD is such a psycho lol.

My first daughter slept a ton. It was actually a big impediment to breastfeeding.
This one is way more alert and high needs. I would guess she's sleeping 14-15 hours a day now at 5 weeks. It's about 10 hours total at night and 4-5 hours during the day.
DD1 was still sleeping about that much at 2 years old!
Connor is dayby day too. Normally he will be awake most of morning from 6am to 12pm, taking 20 min naps here and there. Then if we run errands, he's asleep from 12-3ish, then has a wake to eat, sleep cycle until around 7pm, then he'll be up for an or so before we start our bedtime routine. If we don't run errands, there's no telling what he'll be like..

Totally normal and I read an article from someone on here that at that age falling asleep again before 1 hour is good for them so they don't get overtired.
