Birth Announcement - Grammar Question

I'm terrible with grammar... on a birth announcement if the first line is 'She/He has Arrived!' should arrived have a capital 'A' or a small 'a'?

TYIA - I know there must be an expert out there Smile

    lowercase : )

While this is technically correct, if the phrase is used as a sort of title, it can be uppercase.

  • Thanks! It's the top line and stands alone so maybe a capital could work.

Hopefully I get points for considering it even if I didn't know the answer Smile

  • It's a statement you are making so it is an uppercase letter 'A' you should use.

I am a graphic designer and anytime I make newborn/announcement cards I go through this with my clients.  It should say:

    He/She has Arrived!

The only thing that shouldn't be capatilized is the 'has'.

This. I treat it like a headline on a news story, so lowercase.

Correct grammar would dictate that only the first word in the sentence should be capitalized. If it is a title or headline, all but the articles and/or prepositions (of which, in this case, there are none) should be capitalized, so "has" should also be capitalized. Sorry, but you are incorrectly guiding your clients.
