1st Trimester

Symptoms or lack there of?

I am over 6 weeks now and have yet to get any true symptoms.  I am more tired than usual, but not exhausted and find that as long as I eat the nausea doesn't get too bad.  I do have a lot of cramping a stretching sensations, but that is the extent of it. Could this mean my hormones are low and I have a higher risk of miscarriage?  Just a first time momma trying not to worry...trying and failing.

  • Symptoms are different for everyone, don't worry about it.

  • Your symptoms sound like mine w/ DD. Eating subsided my nausea 95% of the time (the other 5% must have been during her growth spurt days where I had like 2 hrs where my nausea was true "nausea" and not just that gurgling feeling. My boobs were sensitive (at times) but never really sore. I don't think much can be gauged off of the intensity of your symptoms. Every pregnancy is different :-).

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34
  • I've had very minor symptoms with this pregnancy. I pee a lot more than normal, I'm a little tired, and I've had some minor twinges/cramping. Overall, it's been fairly benign, and so far everything is ok. If you're concerned, call your Dr, but it's a likely possibility that everything is fine.

  • Maybe you are just going to have an easy pregnancy, don't worry over nothing.

Don't worry!! Pregnancy is different for everyone and for now be thankful you don't have constant nausea or morning sickness.

Personally I've have two mornings where I felt nauseous and other than that really haven't felt any different than normal. So you're not alone, other women experience little to no symptoms at all (of course that can all change!).

  • I had even less symptoms this pregnancy that I did with my 1st. Not super tired, no nausea, as long as I eat i'm fine. So TRY not to worry to much (I know it's easier said than done...I'm a horrible worrier myself). I just keep telling myself, until someone tells me there's something wrong, there is nothing wrong.

  • Ditto on what everyone else is saying.

The first sign for me that I was even pregnant was a little cramping.  It's mostly subsided  now.  I have mild breast tenderness, major fatigue, and some nausea when I don't eat often enough.  Everything is healthy though.

    Don't worry!

  • I had no symptoms early in my first pregnancy and I always worried and complained to my husband about it... after my 9 week appointment i started a trend of morning sickness (all day sickness in my case) and it never ended... enjoy your weeks with no symptoms. I know I am this time around :)

  • I have less symptoms than my first pregnancy, including no morning sickness (every time I say this I know its going to hit me the next day in full force!!!!!) I had an ultrasound today and everything looked good! So its very true that every pregnancy is VERY different even with the same person!!! Try and relax! I am....

  • I worried myself silly for the same reason in the first trimester, and now I think I'd give anything to go back to feeling that way--I now have nausea, back pain, fat feet, and haven't slept well in days! And to be honest with you, I haven't had many symptoms at all this entire pregnancy. The ones I have now all just struck me like a wall of bricks within the past week or so. If you have no other reason to believe that you are experiencing/will experience a miscarriage, then I wouldn't let it worry you at all. The extent of your symptoms means next to nothing, and vary a ton from woman to woman or even pregnancy to pregnancy.

  • Try not to worry about it. My symptoms did not start until about 6 weeks and ended at 10 weeks. As of right now I do not have any symptoms. With my last pregnancy my symptoms began at 7 weeks and I had it up until 20 weeks. Everyone one and every pregnancy is different. Good luck!

  • I had serious exhaustion and a little nausea through weeks 5 & 6, and then the past few days I've felt amazing.  First u/s next Thursday, I'll be just about 8 weeks, hopefully everything goes well and I keep feeling good like this!

  • Had I not been pregnant before, I would probably not pick up on most of my symptoms, up until the last few days, m/s is really starting to kick in (haven't vomited yet, but gotten really close)

My HCG level is apparently really high.  I think it is just how early you are.  You will probably start getting more symptoms soon, and if you don't, it doesn't mean something is wrong, just that you are lucky.  The pregnancy, with my loss, was extremely symptomatic.
