I want to get him a book about fatherhood for Christmas, but the selection at Borders here is leaving a lot to be desired. Is there anything you (or your husband) would recommend?
I am getting my Dh a book called..... Fathering like the father... its a christian book and i ordered it off line from borders, their in store selection wasnt good...... They have what to expect for fathers just like the waht to expect when you are expecting.... i know target has a couple of cute ones too even though its not a book store..... maybe try barnes and nobles, or if you want a christian book berean bookstores too
My husband just read "The Guys Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Childbirth and the First Year of Fatherhood." He liked it a lot, wrote by a man, speaks to men, was funny too.
The Expectant Father is a good one...DH likes it so far. Its DEFINATELY written from a man's perspective and I personally think its better for a first time parent (as we are) because some of the stuff seems really basic, but DH is totally clueless so its good for him.
I made the mistake of getting the Father to Be Everything Guide. It was full of advice like putting the baby in the back seat of a two seater car (umm... they seats don't go that way).
My DH and I have been reading "Fathers at Birth" by Rose St. John. It's a very empowering book for the father. Book was just published, so it's only available on Barnes & Noble online and I think pre-order through amazon.
