Eye contact

I am a mom of 3 beautiful children. My newest is DS who is 2 weeks old. When he is awake he makes eye contact but does not keep it very long. Is this normal? I can't remember how it was with my other kids. If I make a noise he will look at me but only for a few seconds. Any comments will be appreciated!!

Yes my son did the same at 2 weeks, at 3-4 weeks they should start to follow with their eyes a bit.

My ds is 6.5 weeks and he is just starting to keep eye contact.
