tell me about your Honda CRV

in 3rd Trimester

We're getting a new car before the baby comes and narrowed it down to the Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forrester and Honda CRV. We drove them all again yesterday, and landed on the 2009 CRV.

If you have one, we'd love to hear your thoughts. This will be the family car so please share any pro/cons about carseat access, storage space, etc etc.

    My in-laws had one to drive DH's grandparents around.  They liked it so much, when it started having problems, they bought another one.  (FIL has to have a 'new' car like every year, and he must have liked it if he got the same one.)

    i've had mine for almost 4 years. ?haven't looked back since. ?love it. ?no issues with it at all. ?and will most likely get a CRV for my next car. ?this is the 2nd one i've had.?

    We have a 1999 CR-V and LOVE it.  I hope it lasts forever, because I love driving it.  The storage space is great (though the 1999 has a totally different body than the newer versions).  I've moved cross-country twice with it.  It has about 130K miles and other than basic maintenance, the only thing I've had to replace is the alternator.  I get about 25 mpg on streets, and about 28 mpg on highway.

    Highly recommend!

    We have a Forester already.  It's dh's car.  He loves it.  Being in New England we really like having AWD.  (I love the new model....so adorable.)

    We got rid of our minivan last yr and looked at both the Rav4 and the CR-V.  We liked both.  Had Toyota offered more for our trade, we probably would've gone with that one.  It had the optional 3rd row (it was teeny tiny, but still would have fit ds if needed).  We ended up with 2008 CR-V and love it.  So happy we went with it.  Only thing...I loved the green and got it.  The interior is very light and shows everything including water stains.  My mom's boyfriend does car interiors and put leather in for us which makes a big difference.  I would definitely get a darker interior color.

    I don't have a CR-V, but I just have to say that Hondas are so great! We have a 2000 Civic and a 2007 Accord and have had such good luck with them both! Everyone else I know has all sorts of probs with new cars and stuff going wrong/ weird rattles/ etc...
