So I went to my first appointment today. And I am just wondering, do you normally get an 8 week ultrasound? Or just high risk regnancies? I guess my dr said you don't. But I was under the impression you get one to ensure the pregnancy is viable. Hmmm...
Re: Ultrasound question
It definitely depends on the doctor. I got one at 8 weeks to rule out an ectopic and determine how far along I was. Had nothing to do with being high risk. It was standard.
This.
We had our first appt yesterday at 11 weeks. We got a dating ultrasound, but didn't get one with DD. Just depends on the doctor, insurance, and your pregnancy.
Edit- Also we told her we weren't planning this pregnancy so maybe she didn't really trust that I knew what I had my last period. lol oh well, I loved having an early ultrasound.
Make a pregnancy ticker
I get an ultrasound at every appointment because the Dr.'s office has an ultrasound machine in their office. My insurance only covers one ultrasound per pregnancy and I believe that will be the A/S scan at 20 weeks. It just depends on your insurance and Dr.
