My doc retired right before I got pregnant. I was sad to get the letter, but I just moved on to other doc in the practice.
I had issues with my first preganacy & I'm already being watched closely for this one. I'm comfortable with the change, but I'm also already seeing the high risk (peri) doctor(s).
It's really all about what you are comfortable with. Good luck!
Depends what your comfort level is with the practice. Have you seen other doctors there? Have they been reasonably apprised of your unique issues? Do you trust them to hire a good person? If yes, I'd be ok with the switch.
I went in for my first appointment to find out it would be my last with my doc because she's starting an MFM fellowship (in the same practice/hospital but won't see regular patients). I like all the doctor's who I've seen there so I'm comfortable getting transferred to one of her colleagues.
