This morning, I posted about some spotting that I have been experiencing since Monday. Mostly brown, didn't seem like much to worry, but had decided to go ahead and have blood drawn to check hormone levels. Well, that plan had to be set aside. Our 9 yr old son had to have surgery on Saturday, on both of his feet, and last night the casts got wet. He woke up this morning and said that his feet felt 'soggy' so his surgeon told us to go straight to the ER for an emergency cast change. Had we waited, his incisions could have been severely infected and caused more problems.
Anyhow, we were there till 4pm, and by then it was too late to make it to the lab to have blood drawn. But I thought, "I'm sure everything will be ok. I'll just call tomorrow." And then we got home. And there was bright red blood. I've called my midwife and they've scheduled me for an U/S in the morning. I'm terrified, devastated, did I mention I also woke up with a cold/sore throat, and I just don't know what to do with myself. She tried to comfort me and say it could be any number of things and that we shouldn't write this pregnancy off just yet. I'm just so so scared at this point.
Could you cross fingers that I'm just over reacting, and that everything is fine. Or, if it's not fine, that we find a way to heal. Love and sticky thoughts to all.
