My is daughter is 5 months old and often the doctors mention that she is small but proportionate. She weighs about 13 pounds (was weighed weeks ago) not sure how much she will weigh during her 6 month visit coming up. She was born at 36 weeks some consider it preemie some dont so I dont if that plays a part. I really try not to compare her to other babies but when I constantly see/ hear about 5 month olds that weigh 16 pounds plus it makes me wonder if something is wrong. Now I will say she eats well, doctors dont want to change her formula because she is doing good on it(had major projectile vomiting issues on old formula), she has hit milestones on target for the most part so development wise she is good although she still cant sit up on her own but shes a little Thumbelina lol. Anyone else have small babies?

This. But I think mine is 13lb 5oz. She was 2 weeks late and 8lb5oz at birth but gained slowly and had a milk allergy. Our dr isn't concerned bc my hubby and I are not tall and she's been consistently in the same percentiles.
Glad to know im not alone. My daughter can also fit some 0-3m clothing. Some just recently without them swallowing her whole.
Don't stress!!! My oldest DD was always a little petite thing, like 10% for weight, and we had eating issues from like week 1. The pedi's were constantly stressing me out and had me bringing her in for weight checks ... but wouldn't do anything to "help" me (besides telling me she needed to eat x amount each day). She is now a healthy thriving 3 year old, and I am always telling myself that if I had known then what I know now ... I would have enjoyed her more (instead of worrying), b/c she turned out great!
My 5 month old is weighing in about the same as DD#1 did at her month check ups (born 1 lb smaller, though). The difference is DD#1 was FF, DD#2 is EBF. So that to me says - it's purely genetics at this point. We just make skinny babies!
& if she is eating good, peeing/pooping good, seems happy ... that is a good sign!
