low hcg level

in 1st Trimester

So, My story goes.. on tuesday 6/19 took 3 pregnancy test all 3 Came back positive ( took clearblue digital pt) next moring took 1 more just to be sure came back pregnant, went to the doctor took there blood test and she said my hcg level was only at a 24 and for being 4 weeks give or take a day or two it was low but looking online my level seems normal. anybody know what is going on??

    That sounds completely normal to me. I don't know why your doctor would say that was low for only 4 weeks.

    Did the doctor do the blood work or a nurse? That seems like a normal number, especially when compared to the chart on What To Expect.

    from what I can tell they vary a LOT, my doctor called me today and said mine was at 4000 something, which someone said was high, but doc said looked good, and I was using OPKs so I know I'm not further along than I thought.

    My doctor said that one person's hcg level is not going to the same as another's hcg level. The only thing that my doctor would recommend (which I did) was a quant screen. (where they draw blood on two separate occasions, usually 2-3 days apart, and compare the two) As long as they are increasingly steadily, that's all you can really hope for this early on.

    I am in a similiar situation. My first beta at 14dpo was 32. Having second draw tomorrow and will get results on Monday. Its not really how high they are to start just that they increase every 48hrs. My RE likes to see it rise by 66% every 48hrs.
