Hi all! Just wondering if weight loss is a normal symptom of pregnancy? I've been eating SO much lately and lost about 5 pounds in the past three weeks! Is this normal or should I talk to my obgyn?
Its not necessarily normal (particularly if you haven't been sick, which you don't mention) but its not necessarily concerning unless its significant relative to your PP weight (> 5%).
I've lost 5-8 lbs (depends on the day) and I just asked my dr about it. Since you're being more careful about what you eat or drink, it's expected. As long as you are healthy and getting the right nutrients, don't stress out about it. You'll start gaining soon.
The pregnancy isn't confirmed yet, but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed I'm in my third week if I am, and I thought the weight loss was pretty common. I've also had lower back cramps, fatigue, and the acne has shown. Also, I've had white discharge everyday. {Obviously the missed af & the frequent urination were the first clues to us}.
I lost 11lbs so far, my doc said its totally common. I've been making a point of eating better and taking better care of myself, so imagine thats why. well that and the constant sickness..
I am in the same situation as you are with most of the same symptoms. I've been a consistent weight for years and now I have lost 8-10 lbs. I have not changed my diet and do not eat lightly. I took a pregnancy test 4 days ago that came out negative, but I think it may have just been too soon. My husband and I are hoping to be pregnant. This strain of comments has been helpful, I can't wait to see the outcome
Re: Weight loss

ETA: Expected if you weren't eating well before
