I am currently working on my registries and have a dilemma. I have registered at BRU, but a lot of our family does not live near a BRU. I have been asked to register at Target as well, because they are located near family members and are more convenient to shop. Here is my question do I overlap items on both registries? I am not sure if this is a No, No.
Thanks!

Re: Should I Overlap on my Registries?
Same thing here. I am registered at both BRU and Target since the families are all much closer to Target than BRU.
I registered for dupe items such as bottles, hooded bath towels, crib sheets, onesies, washclothes, hangers, pacifiers, etc at both places.
The big things I tried to just stick to Target, but threw a couple on BRU just in case groups of my friends (who live in the city and close to BRU) want to go in on something.
I registered at both Babies R Us and Amazon.com (a lot of my family and friends live out of town and the free shipping over $25 is a real plus for shipping gifts). We definitely have duplicates. It depends on how many people you plan on having at your shower or family members that plan on giving you a gift and the number of items you have registered.
Like someone said earlier, keep a close tab on the things that people purchase and you can always edit your registeries online and delete certain items. Or if you don't have a lot of big ticket items registered and you know that your closest people (parents, best friends) will buy you something expensive or that a bunch of people at work are chipping in on a big ticket item, you can always leave both on the registry and return it at either Target or Babies R Us and get store credit.
Hope this helps!
