Question and intro??

Hello I usually post on TTCAL, I recently decided to go TTA and get healthy. I had a question about a cleanse I found online and wanted to ask the opinions of some ladies that discuss these things regularly.

Here is the link, I just wanted to see if anyone thinks this is good or bad or has heard of it at all. TIA

Day 5: Eat 20 oz of beef and 6 tomatoes?  WTF? No, this is not healthy.

Do yourself a favor.  Write out your food intake for a few days or log it into sparkpeople, my fitness pal, some other tracking site.  After a few days you'll notice a pattern to your food intake.  Do you eat a plain white bagel every morning?  Swap it out for a wheat bagel or a wheat English muffin or even oatmeal.  Eat a sandwich every day for lunch?  Switch up to a salad once in a while.

Learn about portion sizes and try to incorporate more fresh veggies and fruit with every meal.

Eat sweets every night after dinner?  Switch to something healthier.

Get out and get moving, join a gym, start the Couch to 5K program, etc.  No cleanse is healthy.

I completely agree. Your body cleanses itself. Making small changes and tracking your food and exercise will do it. No gimmick is going to work for the long term.

  • Don't do a fad cleanse. I agree on tracking your diet and see where you can make healthy changes. If you don't feel like you can identify those changes, find a nutritionist, who can help you. Start working out. If you don't feel like you can independently, get a trainer. There are healthy ways to lose weight and get in shape.
