Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Do you use plastic or glass bottles? Which ones?

I am concerned about plastic bottles and autism as I have read a number of articles about plastics and autism :(  Do you prefer plastic or glass and which companies do you like best for your babies? :)

    Look for BPA free bottles.

We use plastic Tommee Tippee. They are great.

  • I use plastic Avent bottles.  I didn't really research this, so take that with a grain of salt.  I walked down the bottle aisle, saw my 8000 choices, freaked out and called my SIL who recommended what she uses.

  • I use the Nuk orthodontic bottles. I used to be able to use the Playtex Drop Ins with DS when he was younger but he HATES then now.

  • I use glass Dr. Brown's. I was a little concerned about soap build up on the plastics and putting them in the dishwasher. Glass was only a couple of dollars more.

Edit to add: I don't want to have to hand wash bottles or use special soap. I feel more comfortable throwing the glass bottles in the dishwasher.

  • Dr. Browns Plastic Bottles hand washed with Dapple or Closer to Nature Baby bottle liquid. No soap buildup.
  • I use the glass DR. Browns and they have worked well- I use my medela and pump directly into them which is great.
