UO

Didn't see one started so I'll go...I love Howard Stern and am saddened knowing that my days with him are numbered because of LO getting older.

Re: UO

  • I am not a fan at all of babies hanging out in just a diaper (even super cute fluffy bums) but its so hot today and we aren't going anywhere so I may just let O hang out like that for the day.

  • I still rock my LO to sleep at night. I enjoy this time with just her and I. She goes down for naps on her own but at night its all mommy and daughter time! :)

If we're just hanging out at home, we often have "naked baby time".  I think it's adorable!  But this is coming from the same person who lets her play naked in her pool outside instead of bothering with a swim suit. Stick out tongue

What bothers you so much about it?  Especially if you are in the privacy of your own home.  Don't you like naked time?  I know I do.  Stick out tongue

I still nurse LO to sleep at night.  I know he is almost one, but it is so calming and such a sweet time at the end of the day!

I hate being naked! But Em was definitely in just a dipe for a large part of yesterday because it's so dang hot.

I totally agree! I love how she just stares at me and I talk to her a calm voice about anything and everything (last night our conversation was about how I want to take her to the zoo and show her all the animals) ;-). I just LOVE this time. I am too selfish to give it up just yet!

They are getting big so fast, this is one way that I can keep him as my baby for a little longer!  I am not looking forward to the time when he doesn't want this anymore!

I think its just growing up (and even now as I am an adult) seeing babies out in public in just a diaper that are just dirty and possibly not very well taken care of and I just cannot seem to separate them from my own child in just a diaper in our home.  I know I have issues.

Also naked baby time is out of the question most of the time due to DH's extreme paranoia of O peeing on something. Its so bad he will even keep a diaper on her when he walks her from the changing table after undressing her for a bath. Now I think that is a little over the top but its how he is.Sometimes we do do it behind his back but those times are few and far between.

And unless your counting naked time as sexy time I prefer to at least have on some underwear and a shirt most of the time.

I personally loved naked time before DS lol. DH still spends most of his time at home in just his boxers, but I can't blame him. After a long eleven hour day in a restaurant I don't want to wear clothes either lol

Oh no.  I would never take her out in public in just a diaper/naked.  That is only for home time when we don't have company.

Yes, of course I don't imagine anyone here on this board would do something like that. Its just where I grew up people did it and it always made me sad.

  • Finley is not walking yet and I am totally okay with that because I don't have to worry about her getting into things on the tables and stuff yet other than when she pulls up.
  • I still nurse her to sleep, too, and I love it. If I'm home, I like to hold her for her nap, too. Time with just the twi if us, all snuggled up, is special. Plus, it gives me time to watch TV ;)

My thoughts exactly.  Although I am pretty certain are non-walking days are really becoming limited...and the climbing days have already begun.

I love that Audrey is walking.  She crawled for what seemed like forever before she finally started walking.  So she was still getting into EVERYTHING she could.  Walking hasn't made it any worse.  But now, I can set her down more easily if I need to, and she can get her self un-stuck more easily.   Plus, she self-entertains more easily now.

The only thing I ever noticed that was different in terms of "mess" between my boys crawling and walking was that they carried a lot more stuff.  We find things in much more odd places now (shoes in garbage, stuff in shoes, etc) moreso than when they were crawling/pulling up.  They can't GET to anything more, but they can move the stuff they get to.

The climbing, well, that's another story.  Found Sam standing in the middle of the coffee table this week.  Oh joy.
