I just bath my little one about every 2 days. If you bathe them everyday their skin will be dry. Babies don't do enough to get dirty anyway. I do make sure to clean under my LO's neck everyday for any excess leaky milk that makes it down that way!

I bathe baby girl about every other day or every 2 days. Depends on how poopy she's been and if she's been bundled up a lot cus it is hot here so I don't want her to get all sweaty and stinky.

The nurse told us 2 -3 times a wk. I will more than that if she needs it.

Ditto...plus when LO has a BM, I do a quick sponge bath on his bottom regardless of "bath night" or not.
I give DS a bath about 2 times per week, unless there is another reason to do so like a blow out diaper or something like that. He still has his cord stump on so I do not do it unless I need to. Plus bathing babies to often will give them dry skin.

This. He always has milk running down his cheeks and neck.

We bath DS every night as part of his bedtime routine. We use baby cream instead of baby lotion to keep his skin from drying out. He loves bath time and his "massage" with the cream afterwards.
with DS I bathed him 2 times per week. DD is pretty cranky and will not nap in the evening, but she LOVES the bath. I bathe her every day. I don't use soap every time though, and FWIW she doesn't have dry skin at all.

Ditto on no soap. I only bathe DD about twice a week but DS slept so much better on bath nights that I started doing it daily. Most days I just poured the warm water all over him and skipped the soap. At his six month appointment the doctor actually praised me about how soft and perfect DS's skin was.
My birthson who came before I was ready. He doesn't call me mom but I love him just the same. ~7/10/99~
I asked the pediatrician this when I had my daughter and she said once every two weeks was just fine for newborns and bathing too often will just lead to dry ski. Honestly, my son who just turned 5 weeks has only had one real bath and a few wipe-downs with a sponge and baby wash. I do try to clean out his little neck creases with baby wipes when I change his diaper. He is a perfect baby and is in no way dirty!
Everyday is excessive for most babies. LO gets her face and bottom wiped down with warm water on a washcloth daily, but only gets 3 baths per week and only 1 shampoo per week or her skin and scalp get really dry.
Every other day + when necessary. Sometimes, every third day. Part of bedtime. We do an oil based massage after (often argan, though olive or safflower are good too), and her skin is fine.

I bathe her daily as part of her bedtime routine. I lotion her up really good and she has no issues with dry skin.
I did the same with DS...
