Anybody go public with the news early?

I have a big mouth, so many friends & family already know...I'm really just thinking about fully going public, like on FB ; ) I had a dating sono on Monday, saw a strong heartbeat, all looked good. DH thinks I can tell the world now. Anyone blab at around 10 weeks?

We are waiting until next week...i will be almost 12 weeks. Only because we wanted to hear a heartbeat before we made it "facebook official". We did tell our parents and siblings at 4 weeks and have started telling immediate family now at 10 weeks.

We told after our first ultrasound which was at 6 weeks !

We announced it after the NT scan at 12 weeks. I would have waited longer but I wanted to graduate from looking fat to pregnant at work!

I got outed on FB last week, but only those paying attention noticed. I had to tell coworkers early on because I was so green with m/s and I work as a bedside RN. I also told close friends and family after the first ultrasound. Everyone has been great so far! Good luck!

I haven't yet, but probably will as soon as we see the heartbeat. A lot of people already know though because I'm too excited to keep it to myself.

As soon as I got the BFP everyone knew. Mostly because my husband couldn't contain himself. His excitement was infectious though so I told people too Now, everyone knows!

If the doctor can find the heartbeat with Doppler at my 10 week appointment next week I think I'm going to tell people ... Well more than I have already! I just can't keep my mouth shut!

Yep, I'll be 7 weeks like tomorrow or something and we're telling our families this weekend when we see them. It wont be FB official till we hear the heart beat at 9 weeks.

Yup. The week I got my BFP we started telling people. By the end of last week Everyone already knew. Definitely a personal preference!

We told family and the friends that we see on a weekly basis once we saw the sweet baby and a heartbeat at 8 weeks 5 days. I am thinking I will wait to tell FB when we know what we are having. I think you are fine to tell everyone the good news if everything looks good. 10 weeks is close enough to 12 lol. Good luck with sharing!

We told when we found out we were preggers. We were going to wait and only tell family, but then my 11 yr old nephew posted on my FB wall about it so then everyone was asking me if it was true. So then I just did an official announcement.

So far only family and close friends know and I think I'm going to go FB official and tell extended family this week. I have another appt tomorrow so (hopefully) we will be hearing the HB again. I'll be almost 11 weeks. My brother is coming home from boot camp and we're having a huge party. It will be pretty obvious that I'm not drinking because I'm usually the one going around getting everyone to take jello shots or play beer pong. I had wanted to wait until 12 weeks but I think after hearing the HB twice we will be in the "safe zone" as much as we're going to get.

we told our siblings and parents at almost 6 weeks because we were about to go on vacation with my family where there would be a million roller coasters and since i couldn't ride them, we had to tell them. other than them, only a couple of close friends know. i'm hoping that we can wait until at least 12 weeks to tell everyone. maybe even longer! i want to wait as long as possible for it to go out on facebook. but who knows, maybe in a couple of weeks i'll be too anxious! i'm 7 weeks as of today!

We are waiting until 14 weeks to go public...after two losses you tend to be cautious...plus I rather enjoy taking this time with just my husband to enjoy our LO.

we too blabbed at 8weeks, im on fb, but im only friends w/ people who are ACTUALLY my friends so they all pretty much knew b4 we made it fb official.

I blabbed to my mom and grandma at around 8 weeks -- which caused my whole family to know. I told mom not to post on facebook about it, lol. I decided to post on fb around 9 weeks (I knew my mom was getting too excited and wouldn't be able to hold it in much longer. ha!). I am not about 10 weeks now and most people know... I think.

Anyone else that doesn't know will find out eventually, I suppose

We won't post on FB about it until the second trimester, but we're telling our close friends and family as we see them between now and then. I saw one of my good friends who lives in DC recently and knew it would be my only time to share my news with her in person, so I told her. Sometimes FB is pretty impersonal, so I'm hoping all of our close friends and family know before we announce it to the electronic world.

Our families knew at 4 weeks & friends knew at 8 weeks. I didn't want to worry about it.
