I tend to be a little blunt sometimes, in socially appropriate way that is.
But I find that since being pregnant I don't filter things as easily and I don't care if I come across rude - I say what I mean and that's it.
Is this a pregnancy thing? Or am I just being a ***? Lol.
Re: Has being pregnant made you lose your 'filter'?
I tend to be blunt too. I noticed that I am more protective of my feelings and privacy. When people are talking a little TOO much about my pregnancy then I find I shut them down pretty fast. I don't think I'm rude, but I do leave little room for misunderstanding that this conversation is DONE.
As for other things that are unrelated to ME, I think I'm about the same, if not a bit more tolerant.
I think, too, that because we tend to be more tired than normal, that we lose patience a little faster. Which is totally understandable, right?
DH and I married 8 years. Mom of three, stepmom of one.
I am normally a very logical, reserved person. Keeping my emotions in check has become increasingly difficult, though, and I know that I have become more sensitive, emotional, and irritable, especially as I reach the end of the pregnancy.
It's a pregnancy thing. I don't think you're being a *****.
I think I started off being nice. However all the dumb "you're huge", "you're going to be hot this summer", "your face has really filled out", etc. comments has made me lose my filter....lol.
Yesss...glad I'm not the only one.
This! Except I don't blame my hormones. I am a very blunt person to begin with and since about the middle of my second trimester any filter I have had has become non-existent.
You can't blame hormones totally, they are a bit to blame but you can watch what you say. I am careful around my grandparents and thats about it. Everyone else gets it as is!!
