Have any if you had issues with running? I cant run more than a quarter mile without throwing up, which made my mandatory 4 mile run really long this morning. Any advice?

I quit running when I am pregnant. It just took too much out of me and made me nauseous. I figured I could sacrifice it for 9 months (or a little longer) to make sure I was taking care of myself and my little nugget. But I know a lot of people still run through pregnancy...I just can't figure out how on earth they have done it!

Wow, you have some serious dedication! I would just be extra careful to stay hydrated. Hopefully, you will feel better in your 2nd tri.
I'm just 4 weeks and a few days and it's the exhaustion that's been getting to me. But I am pushing through. I hope I can keep going when the morning sickness hits.
I thought I was going to continue running, but the energy drain is insane. My last run was a HM that I did before realizing I was PG and boy was it tough.
I have read that running actually helps the blood vessels develop better, so I do want to continue even if it's really slow and short distances. Maybe after the first tri when all the MS symptoms go away.
I wish i could stop running but i am active duty military, so until a doctor specifically tells me to stop running, i have to keep it up. I dont see my doc again until july.

Yikes! Can you slow your pace a little? I've certainly had to! If you are throwing up every 1/4 mile, it won't be long until you become so dehydrated that you have to seek medical attention. Be very careful to hydrate yourself. Are you throwing up the rest of the day as well? Boy, you have me worried for you, that sounds so awful!

Maybe you can call them? That can't be good for you or baby, the throwing up I mean. GL
I was doing really well till about week 6-7, I had slowed my pace down and that helped out a bunch. Since then though the fatigue has really gotten to me, and the weather here has been pretty intolerable (90's already!?!), and i only run outside forthe dual purpose of exercising my puppy. I am hoping in the next few weeks the fatigue will subside and I will be able to get out a bit more often.
I had to stop running because the temps are so bad, 110+, so Im in the gym doing 2-4 miles three times a week. I MAKE myself bc I'm so tired and have m/s all day. Ice cold water helps me.........
At 4-5 weeks pregnant, I had to switch from doing a 4 mile 8 minute pace run to a 3 mile 9 minute pace due to fatigue. At 6 weeks, I got morning sickness that prevented me from even walking. It's still a struggle for me to even walk the dog, but once I'm past this m/s I fully plan to start running again, albeit at a slower pace. I've read about women who run through 8 months, so its certainly ok to keep trying! The best advice I've heard is to listen to your body: if you're getting tired or overheated, stop and walk. If you're vomiting, definitely stop! Just take a break for a bit and wait for your body to adjust before you get back out there. It's hard, but we have to accept that there are new limitations to our bodies.
The first time I ran (before my BFP), I noted to my hubby that I was feeling very heavy and was dissappointed that I could only manage two miles. Especially since I JUST finished a half marathon not too long ago. I still feel a little out of breath and I've had to slow it down and cut my distance....and I'm only 4-6 weeks! It's been over 90 degrees here in TX and I work really early, so I've limited my runs to the weekend and I just "suck it up" while listening to my body. If it says stop and walk, I stop and walk.
Usually I could do 4 miles with no problems....now my boobs feel ginormous and painful and I feel like I'm dragging my feet. I also had some spotting last weekend and had to take it easy until it resolved and the Dr. gave me the okay, so now I'm feeling even slower and more cautious. It's been about 95+ degrees here so I stick to the treadmill or elliptical when I do drag my sorry butt to the gym
I had to switch to the elliptical and the arc trainer for now. I have reduced my pace and that has been working fine. The problem with running/jogging for me was..........majorly sore tatas! They are killing me! AND my good sports bras are not even close to fitting so I'm waiting for UPS to drop off a package from Athleta. Maybe a new bra will help.

I've been running as well, but have slowed the pace, and don't run near as far as I used to (I ran a full marathon 6 months ago).
Good luck, and make sure you're carrying water with you!
