jaccuzzi tubs

in 1st Trimester

I know hot tubs are not safe during pregnancy, but what about jaccuzzi bath tubs. My hubby and I are celebrating our 4yr anniversary tomorrow, and we have a hotel room with a jaccuzzi and I would love a good soak, but I am not sure it it is safe.

    You aren't supposed to let your body temperature get above (I think) 104 (I'm not 100% that's the number) so you just need to be careful with the temperature.

    Exactly this.  I was just telling my DH that I wished we had a jacuzzi tub so I could soak in luke warm water with jets.  My parents have one at their house so I will probably take advantage of it at some point.

    We are celebrating 6 years this weekend and I also got a hotel room with a jacuzzi tub  :)  I am just not going to have the water as hot as I normally would, just like the other have suggested :)

    From what I remember learning in OB, it's not the temperature that's dangerous so much as hot tubs being a breeding ground for germs, since so many people get in and out of them and they aren't cleaned daily. A jacuzzi should be fine, as long as it's clean.
