Primrose Oil - How do you take it? What kind do you take?

HI All,

My midwife and doula recommend that I start primrose oil at 36 weeks. I have a scar on my cervix, so they want to make sure that my cervix ripens and the scar is okay during the birth.

For those who take or are considering taking primrose oil - how do you take it? What kind do you take? Where did you get it?

  • There is a previous post about Primrose Oil from May 30th. Go back a few pages and check it out.

  • My birthing instruction recommended I take primrose oil and double the dose. I didn't start taking it until 39 weeks. I take 6-8 capsules a day, orally. I go to the doctor tomorrow (Fri 6/22.) I am excited to find out if any progress has been made.
