Waxing and c section scar?

I don't know if I am the only one with this question, but if anyone else gets Brazilian bikini waxes, what do you do about your scar? I am so ready to get groomed down there again but the scar is right below the hair line.  Is it safe to wax over it after my six week check up?

Re: Waxing and c section scar?

  • You can wax right over it.  I'm only 3 weeks pp right now so I haven't waxed but I did wax before my 6 weeks check up last time.  It wasn't an issue and the lady doing it told me she waxes over c-section scars all of the time.

  • I get waxed over my scar all of the time, however I would be nervous about doing it 6 weeks pp. You might want to ask your OB during your checkup.

  • At 6 weeks, you should be fine.

I agree with this. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable at 6 weeks. But my scar is not that far down so I'd be able to let her wax below the scar. If it's healed up enough I wouldn't worry about it.
