Currently he is out to a very nice restaurant being wined and dined by people from work who have flown in this week from Houston. (he did not tell me these plans until 5:30 tonight)
I am stuck in the house with a cranky, teething baby and my meal consists of French fries...
I am, however drinking DH's last beer

Mmmmm, nice frosty cold beer sounds PERFECT!
DH sucks today because he scheduled a work appt. (he is self-employed and makes his own schedule) during the same time my ONLY workout class that I take is at, so I have to miss it...so I have decided instead I will go to Target with baby, and buy me a dress and baby something, and now it sounds like have a beer!
Lol, DH got all huffy last night when DD woke up crying and ended up sleeping on the couch too. Oh well gave me more room in the bed!

DH sucks right now because every time I try to talk to him about the "What ifs" his response is "your will is good so dont worry. Your life insurance will cover everything"
I know he is trying to joke at the situation but still. Grrrr
A beer sounds lovely.
The beer was delicious
that stinks you had to miss your class, but have fun shopping!

Eventhough he's joking I completely understand why your pissed! I wouldn't want DH to say that either. I am so sorry you are going through this right now. I am sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers your way.

I haven't spoken to DH since last night when his phone died (why didn't he have a charger?!) He was supposed to be home by 2pm not it's 3pm and I can't reach him. I haven't had a break in a week. DH needs to come home and let me out of the house by myself for an hour!!
I hope he comes home with good news on the interviews!

I just got wined and dined myself at a business meeting, I and would have traded it in a heartbeat to be home with DS. I know the grass is always greener so it's easy to say, but I'm the one jealous of your french fries lol.
Great another $70-250 to pay out for our key after DH locked it in the card 2 nights ago and we spend $120 for emergency roadside service at 3 am-we did not have roadside assistance on our insurance never needed it before but DH seems to be making a habit of needing it
True, I know he is probably missing DD tonight. The French fries were the frozen kind so not that tasty, but more appealing than the frozen corn and green beans lol tonight our original plan was to head to the grocery store. I can't go because DH has our only car that has my purse in the trunk!

DH has to be gone tonight and possibly tomorrow night too for work. I guess he doesn't suck just his work. He is gone 1-2 nights/week during the summer. He also sucks because he is going fishing all weekend this weekend, I would love to go but of course can't. I miss going fishing with him.
Lol yeah I definitely would have gone with the fries. DH forgot that the stroller was in his car this weekend when he went to work, and I was stuck without it all day...it's kind of like when he never checks his pockets before putting them in the hamper.
I got up at 540am this morning, got dressed, makeup on, loaded my car (pump, lunch bag, briefcase, etc.), go back upstairs, wake DS, change him, dress him for the day, nurse him, go to hand him off to DH (it is now 700am) who was still asleep in bed, having decided to oversleep his alarm clock by 1.5 hours and he says, "Are you leaving for work now?" I replied, that, yes, I was, as I do every morning. He goes, "Oh, I haven't had my shower yet..."
What? Hoping I'd say that I'll be late so he can have a shower? I shook my head in disbelief and told him I was sorry he'd slept in for so long... and kissed him goodbye and left for work

You are much nicer than I am. DH would have gotten an earful from me if said some crap like that.
Well, I actually said it this way, "I'm sooooooo sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry that you SLEPT IN for sooooo long!" I didn't add the sarcastic emphasis in the original post. :P

This truly needs to be a weekly event!!!
Tonight I got the "You need to take the kids and go somewhere because I don't get anything done if the kids are here" speech from DH who needed to work on something for an organization he's involved in... Meanwhile, my finances are tapped out, I am only going to the store for necessities right now, the gym with the baby isn't happening yet (he's far too needy) hence I haven't gotten to the gym in two weeks, much less, have a break from BOTH kids at the same time. I told him "Forgive me if I'm not too sympathetic, I haven't had a break from having one or both of them in months"... Then he just woke up in the recliner to gripe me out about being up - my response "I want some quiet time to not be needed by ANYONE!" (as I remember - oh CRA*, the toothfairy needs to show up tonight)..
