39w1d - stripped again

so my dr. tried stripping me again today. It didnt hurt much at all and i have been crampy but no bleeding or discharge yet.

I had it done 2 weeks ago and lost my MP but obviously nothing else resulted.

Are there folks who were 3cm and 75% effaced (or more) and had it done and it still didnt work?

I feel like if i am not bleeding or having some pain, maybe it didn't work.. again.

I think i am just a long gestate-er. DD was 9 days late.

They plan to induce next week if he doesn't come as he is on the bigger side....

Part of me would like to give him more time but the size thing makes me nervous...

    FX it works this time!! I am getting mine stripped (hopefully... if I'm dilated enough) tomorrow for the first time. 

    If it doesn't work, I'm also being induced next week.

    How dilated do you need to be for a stripping?

    I had those exact stats and stripping didn't work for me.  Sorry :o(

    You need to be about 1 cm in order to have your membranes stripped (thats for the PP who asked)

    As for you, how big was your first baby? how big do they anticipate this baby being? You are 3 cm, thats really good, I would hold off to 41 week weeks unless they are estimating >9lbs. I think you will go into labor on your own, plus like you said, you went late last time.

    I'm 38 weeks, and 5 days today. I'm seriously asking my Midwifes if they don't see any progression by week 40 if they can go a head, and induce me or even do a membrain sweep to see if that'll help kick start labor. Good luck! Hope the next one will get something started.

    My first baby was 8 lbs even but 9 days late. This baby was 7 lbs two weeks ago, so he is estimated to be about 8 lbs now. They are going to check his size again next wednesday and decide on induction date from there....

     

    I  had trouble pushing DD out at 8lbs and had to use the vacuum. her poor little head. I just cant imagine if he stayed in 2 more weeks from now and was 9 lbs!

    My own OB is on call at the hospital friday night... oh how i WISH i would go then and have HER!!!!!!
