TTC after Implanon

Has anyone used the Implanon for BC?  At my last annual, my dr told me that I should get the Implanon taken out about 2 months before TTC and I should use condoms during those months.  This is because the Implanon, she said, could make the uterine wall brittle and cause an increased risk in miscarriage.  Has anyone else heard this?  Or if you were on Implanon, did you start TTC right away after getting it removed?  Thanks!

    I was on it. I had it removed about 2 months before TTC.  We didn't use condoms during those two months, but on the other hand I had no clue about my cycles and O and temping and also clearly something isn't working because we are still TTC 24 cycles later.

     ETA: I had it removed about 3 months shy of my 3 year mark for having it also.

    I just got my implanon removed 6/15. A month before the 3 years. I told the Dr. that we were thinking about TTC. She didn't mention anything about having problems. We've been having unprotected sex, but it's only been 5 days. I figure it won't happen for awhile since I haven't had a period in 6 years. Never heard about that though, I will have to ask next time.     I had mine removed in March and we just realized we're pregnant with our first!  The doctor didn't mention anything about using prevention, and I told him we were TTC. But I guess always best to error on the side of caution if that's what your doctor recommended?

    I had mine removed in July after 3+ years.  We are TTC now and I am tracking my O but none of my doctors (OB/GYN or GP) warned of anything like that.  We also started TTC right away as I was on my cycle when I had it removed.  I did hear from someone else that multiples births were common after Implanon.  Not sure if that is true or not.  I'd be interested in hearing from others regarding this.
