Friday I had a pap done i am 12 weeks pregnant everything looked great and normal then on monday i had light pinkish brown spotting i called my doctor she told me to keep in eye on itt. then yesterday i had reddish brown spotting i went to the er they got the babies heart beat and it was 149 which they said was strong then they did a pap and said i was bleeding from inside my cervix and i might be miscarring im really confused.

based on your post I would say get another doctor....how could you be THAT confused after meeting with them? how are a bunch of internet strangers supposed to tell you what is going on?

I am confused for the fact that on friday everything is normal then on monday i start spot bleeding and no one knows why. my hcg levels are extremly low yet the babys heart rate is high. you shouldnt be so rude to people.

First off, try to calm down. If they got a heartbeat, that's a very good sign. Did they do an US too in order to get a visual of the baby? My OB told me bleeding was very common in the first trimester and not always an indicator of an m/c. Frankly I'm surprised they even did a pap on you while PG (they didn't do a pap on me for either pregnancy), but keep in mind that your cervix is very rich in blood vessels and internal exams are notorious for causing spotting afterward. You do want to follow your OB's advice (ER docs are great in emergencies but are not OB experts) and keep an eye on the spotting. If it becomes heavier (I mean filling a pad in an hour) and accompanied by large clots and/or cramping, call your OB again. Hope everything turns out fine for you!

actually what I gave you was good advice..find anothe doctor. my doctor would never let me leave her office without me having some understanding of what is going on...if you have a chance of miscarriage and have your medical information we would be the last people to ask..you need to call your dr back or find another who can explain things to you. I think its irresponsible of your dr. to tell you you might be having a miscarriage and let you still be so confused...

I truly don't mean this to sound insensitive (because I honestly hope this turns out to be nothing and all is well) but everything is always fine...until it's not. That applies to everything. It's like a boss who can't understand how you weren't sick yesterday at work but called in sick today. Anything can change in a minute in life and I only say that to try to help you understand that, if something IS wrong, it's not unusal for there to be no issue a few days before one appears, kwim?

the last ultra sound i had done was when i was 5 weeks thats when i found out i was pregnant. they have gotten the heart beat twice. The er doctor said that bleeding from inside the cervix is dangerous thats what im worried about. i calle dmy doctor twice im just waiting on her to return my call. its not alot of blood its just spotting but with no cramping

i had my pap on friday though and no bleeding throughout the whole weekend until monday it started then stopped then started again tuesday so i went to er where they did a second pap

I got a pap done last week at my first OB appointment. I told them that I had one done 2 months ago and it was normal. Red blood is normal after a pap, sometimes it doesn't show up for a couple days and it can last a week or more. I would call your OB though and ask them for sure.

try not to worry. worrying wont get you anywhere...if they did back to back paps just a few days apart your cervix was just probably irritated...lots of women spot after sex because their cervix gets hit....lots of blood vessles there more so when pregnant...breathe girl

that is odd...I would ask to have them drawn again...maybe there was a mix up at the lab..are you *sure* you are 12 wks? did they do the doppler for the HB or an ultrasound...

i had an ultra sound down at 5 weeks which is mean they determined how far i was along then friday they got the heart beat for the first time then they got it again last night. they used the doppler for the heart beat.

This, I had a pap at my first appointment and that scary vaginal u/s wand too...I had a little bit of pink spotting and then it went away. Then at my second appointment we saw a healthy 9 week LO with a h/b of 172. So spotting can happen after a pap or use of the vaginal wand.

i had one done one friday and i had one done last night. the doctor just called me back and i have to go in in the morning for more blood work and hopefully my levels are going up. im just so nervous.
